So what do you experts think? is Johnathon creek a good bet on catchin fish?
It is always a good bet Wilbur. Bad thing is you have a lot of competition on Jonathan. Trucks and trailers have been parked out on US 68 most of the last month 7 days a week. Some of my best times have came right before or after a storm when the lake clears out. I also head to the LBL when things get too congested. Some of my best days have been in Vickers, Rhodes, and the bays north of there.
What is LBL. This lake is new to me
I sent you a PM Wilbur. I am sorry I forget people that haven't been here are not use to the terms. It is "The Land Between the Lakes". It is the strip of land that lays on the east side of Kentucky Lake or the west side of Barkley.

New to Crappie.com and new to Kentucky Lake. But will be there April 1st - 4th. Staying at Sportsman Lodge. Don't have a boat and was wondering if there is any bank fishing. Where I might get into some crappie or gills? Any info is appreciated. And if you see a big 6'5" lug on the bank with a pole in his hand and want to pick me up in your boat. Feel free :)
Welcome to crappie.com! You may be on your way there or already at Sportsmens but you in case you check you will be able to bank fish along the 68 bridge right at Sportmens. Get you three or four dozen minnows, a bucket to set on, and fish right down behind Sportmens by the bridge. The crappie are funneled down right there and then spread out as they come through the bridge heading back into the shallow water west of the bridge. Expect to share the location however as several others will likely be fishing there as well.
Good Luck!
Thanks Old Guide. Got to do just a little of that today. Caught a handfull of crappie with a couple of keepers. Also a couple yellows and gills. And even caught 3 nice size cats. All on minnows. Can't wait to get a good day in tomorrow... Thanks Again !!!
