Default KY Lake, North End 3/10/12

Fished today on north end of KY LAKE in the midst of a bass tournament. In the bay I was in, I must have seen no less than 25 bass boats--- one right after another ---zip in and throw Alabama rigs down the bank that I was slow trolling close to , then zip out as another boat took their place. Only saw one small bass caught in all of that! THe water would have been really calm had it not been for all their wave-action as they rushed here and there.

Caught lots of crappie...and I mean lots. Must of had at least 80 for the 5 or so hrs I fished. Out of the 80 I only managed 10 decent fish, plus 2 big blacks very close to 2lbs each that I turned loose. The majority of the fish I caught were just barely ten inches or a little less. Next couple of years ought to be dynamite.

X3! Fished north end and caught huge amounts of 9 inchers. Had 10 really nice fish that we kept. Threw back the big momma's with eggs. Beautiful day on the water! Water was muddy in the back half's of the bays that I was in and cleared up as you reached the main lake. Fun day for sure and looking forward to fishing the next couple of years as kyfisherman said!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

That's what grips my butt. The Law says that when you pass another boat, actively engaged in fishing, you must pass at IDLE speed & NO WAKE! They enforce the NO WAKE rule in the Marinas... Why not on the lake?

Is there a certain distance that a boat has to leave between two boats? When they come by at 30+mph about 50 feet from ya it can starch your shorts.....then they give you that "hey" wave......Ask KrappieKing how many times I said I'd like to give the one finger salute yesterday.
