Just checking back in to see if the Green River Slabfest been schelduled yet, looking forward to coming down from Floyd County, KY. and doing some Crappie fishing on Green River, thanks

I'm all for having it sometime in April. I just don't trust March weather, even after this mild Winter we've had.

The first Sat. in April is on Easter Weekend, and the second Sat. is opening day of Turkey Season. Soooo ... how does April 21st sound to everyone ?? My only hope is that the KY Lake Slabfest won't be on the same weekend, as I'm seriously planning on attending it this year.

April 21 sounds good to me crappiepappy, leaving shortly for a trip to Holmes Bend, to meet my new friends Charles and Barbara from Casey county, to buy a lot from them. Getting ready for my future retirement and many days fishing on the Green River my friend, thanks Dock Shooter

Hey Crappiepappy,I was thinking what if we put a little fun competition into the gathering. We go with the biggest fish caught and give tropies out up to third place. All that there would paid for the tropies,how does this sound.
