    Default Green Water Conditions

Does anyone have a report on the water conditions at Green? Thinking about going tomorrow, if the water is ok.

    Thanks,
    John

Best I can do for you : http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/wc/res...plots/grr.html (prev 12mo to current date info on water level, precip, flow)

Louisville District Daily Lake Report (current water level/precip amt/amt of rise or fall in prev 24hrs)

Maybe one of the local members will give you a water "conditions" report (temp/clarity) ... so check back before you go.

Can't tell about water clarity, but from the COE site they are pulling Green and all the lakes on the green river system hard trying to get them back to winter pools. Starting real late Friday into Sun we can get 1 to 2" of rain, so up they go again. Personally I never do good on Green when they are pulling hard. Crappie stack up on stumps or other wood and get locked jaw. Tomorrow's weather forecast is still decent, so go get em! Give us a report if you go.

I don't know first hand... but talked to a buddy who went today
He stayed on the main lake up near the dam casting jigs. Water temp 46 and stained.
Said fishing was tough. He talked to several others who weren't doing much good either.
Likely due to the heavy draw down today.

    I plan to go Sunday,
    Good luck

Thanks for the information guys. We did end up going out for a while and managed to catch several fish, but only kept 12 over 10 inches. We found the majority of the fish in 15-20 fow and caught ours around 10 ft slow trolling minnows. Fished around the Holmes Bend area. Water temp was 47-48 degrees with a lite stain. Colayn good luck if you make it out Sunday.
