Cool Kentucky now has over 10,000 Wild Elk.

Here is yet another reason KY hunters, and Anglers are very blessed.

We have a wild Elk population of over 10,000 in eastern Kentucky.

Have any of you seen our Elk here in Kentucky ?

    Cool

We also have a growing Black Bear Population here in Kentucky.

East Kentucky now has a small wild population of Black Bear. However, I imagine that within the next 5 to 10 years, parts of central, south central, and perhaps even parts of west Kentucky, may have a small Bear population.

The Bear numbers will probably move west as the bear population grows. So perhaps one day the Kentucky Lake, and LBL area will have a few Bear roaming around. :D

LBL could probably support a small wild Black Bear population.

A lot of people on here Hunt also.

Actually this post has nothing to do with hunting, it is just showcasing two species that are making a big comeback in Kentucky.

The money generated from Fishing and Hunting Licenses goes towards helping species like this here in Kentucky.

So thanks to hunters and Anglers Kentucky now has a wild Elk Population.

Yep, Revenue from Fishing License Sales is a big reason Kentucky now has Wild Elk.

So KY Anglers should be proud of themselves.

I live in Eastern KY I was there when the first herd was released! So I c them everyday. Look at my sig! that is a real picture of me standing beside a real elk. It had a brain worm and I could walk right up to it. I called Fish and Wildlife right after and they came and killed it.
