    Default Symptoms of crappie fever

Buffalo13 and I had the privilege of taking Harleyman and his buddy Brandon fishing the past couple of days. Well, suffice to say, the weather was not perfect. We had 25 mph winds one day and pouring rains the next. They seemed to enjoy themselves and said they caught crappie fever. I have come to the conclusion that one of the symptoms of crappie fever must be tourettes because every time they got hung up in the stakebed or trolling motor or lost a big fish at the boat, the would let out a stream of obscenities. It was so bad that the FAA closed down any air traffic over KY Lake because there are still some hanging in the air. Anyway, we had a blast and put a few fish in the boat but if you know of any other symptoms, please list them so we will be able to identify if anyone else has this and maybe we can figure out a way to put an end to this addicting disease.
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!

What a weekend!!!!! I had a great time with those two. There is never a dull moment. Your right you can go from "well bull" to
#$@% &*^# in just a short time after loosing a big one. But thats what makes it all the fun.
To Harleyman and Brandon thanks for a great weekend!!!!

In all the years of studying Crappie Fever no known cure is in existence today. All symptoms point to fact that most individuals start with some grandiose idea that they can catch crappie every time they go fishing. Crappie fever is the inverse of doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.Crappie Fever starts out real suttle. Then before you know it you are sitting out in the middle of some hole fighting 30 mile an hour winds looking around and asking your fishing partners how did we end up here. Just one more and we will go home I PROMISE !

I can't leave Bass Pro without dumping at least 50 bucks on Bandits of some sort. That's one of my symptoms.

I think sixfin acts a bit strange anyway. At the get together on KY Lake, he was swinging through a tree like Tarzan. He said he was putting up Christmas lights, but I think he was flagging the tree so that he could locate and fish it during the next flood. Just my opinion.

Ain't no cure ... nor do we really want one, do we

Secondary symptom of Crappie Fever is a condition called "Bait Monkey Syndrome" (and it sounds like Dutch has a touch of it, already Rofl ). BMS will cause you to purchase more & more baits than you'll ever have the time or opportunity to use, realize what you've done, but then go purchase another tacklebox to hold these new found secret weapons Doh

(I'm recovering from a near terminal case of BMS, so I'm very familiar with the signs of this condition Thumbs Up )

One other sign of Crappie Fever ... is long hours on the computer, talking Crappie fishing, reading about Crappie, posting pics & reports of what you did yesterday/last week/last year/20-30-40yrs ago ... when you can't be out there actually doing the deed.

    ... cp

Hey Sixfin and Buffalo, it was a blast, man that's one more pork chop :D

The conditions can lead to tourettes for sure, but gale force winds make for a good time too.

    Ahoy!
