    Default Cumberland Crappie


    Caught a few down at Cumberland today in 12- 15 fow. Using minnows under a blobber the bite was very lite. The biggest was 1lb 3 oz.Name: 001.jpg Views: 1049 Size: 79.4 KBName: 002.jpg Views: 685 Size: 40.1 KB

    good catch. I know what you mean about the light bite. I went to Nolin yesterday, casting jigs and skunked on crappie !!!
    They would just nose the lure and never take hold.

    You can try some braid line and use a fluorocarbon leader. Will help feel that bite earlier than mono.

    Bigbaddad, will the braid cast well on spinning equipment?

    Yes. In fact, I have switched the line to braid on my spinning reels that I use for whitebass because the roostertails made the mono line twist bad. With the braid there is no memory so no line twist. Castability is just fine. I use braid for bluegill fishing too.
