I fished down there this weekend. We fished the flat north of Holmes Bend. Jigs tipped with minnows, about 20 feet deep, where the flat drops off from 20 to 30 FOW. It was slow going, we caught several short fish, but also caught several 1.5 pounders. Up on the flat, the fish were short for the most part.

There weren't many folks out on the flat. I heard they were all fishing the creeks. Everyone we did talk to at the ramp or on the water wasn't doing much. I guess we did pretty good, we managed 34 keepers for the weekend.

My partner and I caught 31 keepers Saturday. Most of them were in 14 to 20 fow.

    Hey Crappiepappy, how have been?

What part or area of the lake are you going to try and target?

Early last week they were still following the shad in open water, mostly on drops and under water cuts or valleys. Find the shad and there will be fish. Saw a report on another board about catching them in deepest part of the creek channel this past sat. The shad may have started moving up the creeks and river.
Might give it try before sat if we have a break in this rain. I'll let you know what I find out.

    Hello CP,
Wish I could help, but haven't been fishing Green, been focusing on Nolin. For what it is worth at Nolin Sunday the large mass of shad were up in the creeks.
    Water temp 72
Fishing (jigs) was very tough, but did start catching a few once I moved into the creek with the shad.
Good luck and let us know how you do
