Thumbs up 7/8 afternoon with Mrduxnfish2....

The man needs to change his user name.

He took me out this afternoon and gave me the crankbait trolling tutorial. That is a sure enough way to put some summer crappie in the boat. We had 20 keeper crappie, 2 keeper largemouth, 1 sauger and a big bluegill whose appetite was bigger than his mouth.

    The afternoon monster:

Thanks again, Doug. I had a great time.

Not bad for a couple of rookies! I had a large time! At least we learned to read a map and what the GPS was showing us.

GPS coordinates for a hefty price! (Not really)

In all seriousness, I've only pulled Bandits a few times and have been doing really well. I've invested in some good gear and watched/read everything I could get my hands on to learn how others were setting their boats up and what gear/structure they felt was necessary to be successful. Having a good wife at home was top on my list.

Congratulations on the fine KY Lake Crappie.

That is a great way to catch Crappie this time of the Summer. Even when it is over 90 degrees outside, you can still catch them.

What time of the day did you catch most of them?
