Default Crappie today on Ky Lake

Started out this morning trying to catch redear. Caught only two, but had fun with a ton of bluegill. Kept 20 nice gills...and I mean really nice... to eat. Decided about 10 am to give the crappie a whirl. Ended up with 24 quality fish. Quit at 2:00pm. They came from brushpiles on drops in16-18 FOW, 14 ft deep on a lime-colored Bobby Garland baby shad. I wished all day that I had had my trolling rods, for I believe I could have really had a ball spider-rigging. For some crazy reason I took my trolling rods out of my boat when I started after redear. Won't ever do that again!

I usually don't make pics of my fish, but it just so happened that my daughter made a couple today with my new phone while showing me how it works. I'll try to get them loaded on here. I'm a moron when it comes to the new technology on the phones these days, so it may take me a bit. My new phone is more powerful than my computer. Go figure!

I caught a lot of gills this past week and when it slowed down I kept wishing I would have brought my trolling rods. Next time I will do that. Glad you caught a lot and enjoy those fillets.
