Ron, poor Taylorsville Lake can't seem to catch a break. Seems no matter when condtions get right for a Crappie spawn, heavy rains come & mess it all up. I had "heard" that people were starting to actually catch some, right before all these storms started. Look at this chart, and you'll see what I mean : http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/wc/res...plots/tvl.html Last years flooding rains came right at the first of May ... which, in my experience, is the beginning of the main spawning push for T-ville Crappie. This years 18ft rise may be early in the process, but could still affect the situation ... not to mention that we probably haven't seen the last of these storms.
