Was there wednesday and thursday. Water level is good to go but with the scattered heavy showers and the swollen river I ran into a wall of big floating wood at the opening to the big flats north of Holmes. It had worked its way to Ramp One by thursday afternoon. I caught a ton of small fish with a few keepers in the mix. All suspended in 18-30 FOW. No definate relation to wood, I caught fish in open water and near brushpiles both. I also landed a 3.5lb largemouth on a minnow on one of my 12' BnM Pro Trolloing rods for any out there questioning how they will handle larger fish-thought I was hung up on the bottom. Good luck.

thanks for the reply, know what ya mean landing that bass. On a recent trip to Guntersville, I landed a 3.5 lb bass with a 10ft pole, UL reel w/8 lb test......pole was a big U and my drag was clicking good !!

Them BnM pro trollers are super. Bro-in-law landed a couple of 27" stipers on cumberland a couple of weeks ago on an 8 ft with 6lb cajun red line. Landed one myself on 4lb. mr crappie. Did find a few crappie as well.
