Just a heads up when I was there last week. The lot where you pull up to get your boat straight (spelling) was muddy and about ten inches worth of mud. Just giving anyone that is going to use that ramp a heads up. When you see that ramp clear after the floods it has been cleared by the fisherman that has used the ramp about 95% of the time. I was told by the game and fish that Fosters goverment have collasped and the state can only get to it when they can since all the equiptment they are using comes from Frankfort. So if you see a fellow out there fishing out of a green Sea Ark and driving a green ford truck with a cap on the back he has been shoveling the ramp by hand and it be nice to thank him for his efforts. I have talked to him before and he is a really nice guy.Hands Clapping

I dont know if anyone has been catching any sauger, I havent had the boat in the river since the floods. I am wanting to give the Hybrids a shot sometime. Havent had the chance to get in Meldahl Dam to fish on the Ky side because the road you take to go park in was closed last week also. The fellow in the shoveling the ramp was spoonbill fishing and was doing allright with them. He also told me his graph was showing right around 46 to 49 in water temps.
I'm headed down to Ky lake April 9 th. I hope the weather is good. Never fished for hybrids may give it a try this year.
Stopped by the ramp today and as the river goes down more there is one patch of silt and mud than takes up the width of the ramp and about 5 foot long or so and it looks to be about 4 foot deep in some of it.
