when would be the best fishin at jonathan creek or blood river?

hey every body, i am wanting to plan a trip to ky lake and will probably fish jonathan creek or blood river . when would be the best time to catch crappie spidder rigging?

I'd say any time from now until late May would be good depending on what the water is doing..If you're there when they're pulling the lake, fishing can be tough, but I'd say you will catch fish anytime in April up into May spider riggin'...Thumbs Up

Tube man is right. Even though the first couple three weeks of April are considered prime for the spawn, crappie can be caught well into early and sometimes mid-summer. I believe sometimes the spawn is overated. The fish are scattered along the banks and have spawning on their minds, lake levels flucuate, cold fronts come through every three days, etc. The pre-spawn and post-spawn have fish tighter together and often for me give me better numbers.
