    Default Anyone Fishing Barren River Lake???


    I've have had some mechanical problems and have just gotten them fixed so I have not been fishing lately. I heard that people were catching some crappie before they started letting the water out, but I was wanting to know about the bite now. Any informatiion would be appreciated such as what general area you fished, jigs or minnows, structure, banks, or depth. Thanks for your help.

    Fished about 4.5 hours today and ended up with 16 keepers. Caught a lot of smaller ones that I threw back. Lake is still several feet over summer pool. Water temp was 54 degree's where I was at. All fish came on minnows fished about 10-13ft. deep, over brush and stumps. Most fish came on bluffs adjacent to spawning coves, or points. Had a little trouble this morning, but thanks to the fine fellow at 31 E marine that got me back on the water.
