    Default Falling Water on Barkley

The "lake conditions" website says that Ky and Barkley lakes started a "slow" fall late Monday. I'm not sure what they mean by "slow", but I stood on the banks of Lake Barkley this afternoon and could actually SEE the water level going down on the shore.
Where I was at (in the Kuttawa area of the lake) it fell significantly during the day.

Slow fall rate is relative. They're talking about vertical loss of water level, while you may be seeing more horizontal loss ... esp. if you're observing the retreat of the water on a shallow shoreline. Best indicator is a mark on a stationary/submerged object (like a submerged standing tree) .... but, you need to have a "mark" to go by, prior to the water level drop, since wind & boat waves can wash or create "mudline' marks.
