You forgot high winds!!
Don't know about most other places. I do know that on Barren when the water is falling they get TOUGH to catch. Today it is 7.5' above summer pool and they are pulling the heck out of it....http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/wc/rep...ort.html....it is dropping about .4 of a ft per 24 hrs. That isn't much but they will still be backing off and going deeper. Barren is VERY touchy as to water fluctuations. I live near Walnut Creek and have fished it for many years. If you are going to crappie fish here check the link I posted, it is very useful. If the water is rising slowly or stable you have a much better chance than if it is falling. The more fall the harder they are. There are many other things that come into play but rise and fall really make a big difference here.
Good Luck!
