    Cool Scouting Trip

Well woke up at 3 am & resumed my info gathering process. Reread a few posts and checked the last few days of weather & lake conditions. Now for the hands on scouting.

One thing I've noticed in most of the posts is an over whelming percentage of the fish being caught are white crappie. Hummm. Those Blacks gotta be somewhere.

Gonna start shallow & work my way out.

Coming down from PA tomorrow and we're gonna do the same thing. Start shallow and work our way deep. Gonna bring some YANKEE baits with us and see what them REBEL fish think of them. Might end up throwin them roadrunners on the banks tho. See you at the cleaning station.

Wiskers, I'm with you. The water should be warming up from yesterday and today's weather. I'd think those blacks would become a little more active. I'm going after them tomorrow, but wil probably be fishing down on the south end. May hollar at you to compare notes. Take care!

They gotta be move'n up. I was coming up below Ky Lock the day before yesterday and saw 100's of Pelicans crusing the flooded brush and timber below the dam. They always follow the food. That water below the dam is cooler than what's in the backs of the bays. The blacks may not be up on the banks but I bet they're somewhere close.

Keep me posted & I'll do the same. Fix'n to head out. Angel's set'n here look'n at me like "what's the hold up?"
