Default Green river lake high water

Went out to lone valley on my lunch break today and the water is waaay up. In fact im not really sure if its possible to launch there, and i also went to ramp 1 and its unusable as well. Wondering if holmes bend is under water or what would be a good place to launch this weekend? I'm on vacation starting friday and i've got the itch to go bad.

On a different note a friend of mine was saying if they are letting water out of the lake to lower the lake level i might as well stay home because it messes with the bite, can anyone debunk that?

Took my boat out and ran it some yesterday and put in at Mt Carmel, Holmes is out of the question. I ran down to Lone valley and seen where there had been some boats that had put in there...and the water had pretty good color to it also. Now the further you go up the murky it gets, the Corbin's bend area looks like mud

You can get in at Lone Valley, Cuzzin is right, don't think you can do much at Holmes Bend.

so a fellow can put in at the back of Butler Creek now at 11 feet over summer pool ? I have never checked that ramp during high water.

Rocketman is correct, Colayn the ramp at Mt Carmel is steep during summer pool but with the high water you can drop one in if your careful...the ramp has a turn in it and you haft to be careful not to drop off the edge. Heck when you get ready let me know and I will show you how its done, :D

I drove over for a look yesterday. One rig parked at Lone Valley. You could definately launch there so long as you don't have a gigantic super cab long bed truck and 21' boat. Took a trip to Ramp One and it was not usable. The Corps is pulling water hard and there was a lot of BIG wood in the water. You guys be safe if you get out this week and look out for the submerged stuff while on plane.
