Good bay for getting away from everybody else....

Great creek ledge going into the bay...lots of structure in all different depths...

Be careful in the mouth during winter pool...water is only about 1ft deep on both sides of the creek channel...

Hope you aren't plan'n to fish anywhere on Barkley right now. Dangerous! Lots of debris in the river & lake & more come'n.

I did see a couple of boats up in Pryor the other day when I came by.

wiskers im going to fish one day there, but u can put in on lbl bank in bay beside pryor and you are pretty safe but i bet there is alot of good lower unit tearing up debris out there no doubt. i like unloading there no crowd but i only have a 17' bomber crappie mate so it can get alittle dirty, if i had a big new bass boat i wouldnt even think of it

Advice? My advice is you not put locations on fishing areas on the internet that you might be interested in fishing without having to take a number. You probably just alerted thousands of potential rivals to the fact that there is brush in Pryor Bay. Good luck on fishing that area now. Would some of those internet-scouts have found the brush in Pryor? Probably. But few of them would have actually been in there looking for it without you pointing it out. Not trying to be a wiseguy. Just pointing out the obvious from somebody who has been seriously burned by giving out info on the net. General info is great and most welcome. Specifics are at your own risk.

    Too right! mrdux!
Even though I am a newbie on this site I won't ask any specifics and won't divulge too much detail either. We all work at learning where that dropoff or brush is and it makes it tough on the whole lot of us to just hand em out like waypoints!

That said I have already learned enough from you guys in general answers to help me fish better and I am sure catch more and better quality fish. But don't ask me what my favorite hot spot coords are. LOL
Jeremy, good luck in Pryor Bay and wherever you fish. But don't be surprised if someone is on your brushpile when you get there!

Would have been smarter for you guys to send him a private message and have him remove his post than to help him blast it out there to all the lurkers. Ya think?

Prior Bay is just about as good as any other place, but there are several dozen other coves to fish that are good also, plus KY Lake is 160,000 acres of water.

Barkley is 57,000 acres of water, so there are plenty of other spots, that I wont mention that are just as good.

    Good Luck to you.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.
