The wife and I are looking for a place to head to for a week of fishing in June. There are a few needed ammenities however!!!!
1. Cabins or resort on the lake with slip rental
2. Semi close to a town where shopping can be done
3. Looking to go to KY, MS, TN, AR, MO
4. Good to great summer crappie fishing
I know this is alot to ask. I thought about Grenada or another lake in Mississippi. I am going to Kentucky Lake in the Spring. That would be fine, but don't know about the summer fishing. We have always taken our summer trips up in Northern Wisconsin. Thought maybe we'd try south if we can find a decent place. Thanks for any help with this search!!!
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

I have fished a lot of lakes across the south tournament fishing and I'm not trying to sway you JT, but June on Kentucky Lake can be as good as any lake. The weather and lake are normal stable. Bass and bluegill are on, and the crappie have recovered from the spawn but we haven't gotten into the really hot weather pattern yet. The last few years the crappie in June have been some of the years best fishing with little to no competition. Murray, Benton and Paris are close for shopping. If you want more chioces Paducah, Clarksville, and Nashville are within two hours drive or less. Just a thought.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I really don't think it matters JT. Bear and the main lake can be good as any as can the LBL bays. Sledd, Jonathan, Cambridges, etc. are good too.
Blood can also produce good stringers in June as can the TN LBL bays across from it. From one end to the other it can be good. I guess the main thing is to look at what the resorts have that would make the wife happy and go from there. What's the saying "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!"
