I ran into a gentlement last year that was from the city of Chicago that just purchased a resort in Kentucky on the lake. I will not mention the name of the resort but he was very rude, fowl mouthed, and was not very concerned about his customers. Especially the ones that have been there for 20 years paying good money. I stopped in to ask a few questions about keeping a camper there and let's just say......it didn't take too long for me to leave. My wife was standing near the vehicle and wanted out of there as soon as possible. With Jigboy mentioning his bad experience it reminded me of this. I hope these resorts are not all being sold and a bunch of jerks buying them. Especially with the TVA situation that is on going. Just a thought.

Irvin Cobb doesn't have any openings.(Bummer!) I think we are just going to stay at the Holiday Express Inn. I did get hooked up with a super nice guy for a guide though(OLD GUIDE). We will be down there the third week of March. The really cool thing is the first day me and dad will be out fishing is my 40th Birthday! Who could ask for a better birthday present than that! Counting the days to till we head south. I will post results from the trip and some pictures as well. I just want to think everyone that replied to this post. You guy's have been a big help and it is greatly appericated!
Thanks Again!
Matt

What a great birthday present, fishing with your Dad. It doesn't get any better than that.

I would definately NOT stay at KY Lake Resort. It's a shame too, because the location is perfect, and grounds are beautiful. It's just the owner......he is a major a$$! All he cares about is his deep pockets. It seems as if any customer is just an inconvenience to him. He will not treat you well. Cobb is a great place. The state parks are also beautiful!
