Smile Best bay/area for BIG redear on Barkley/Ky Lake?

Any suggestions on what area to catch
big ol shellcrackers on the ky parts of these great lakes. I got the fever to catch a 2 pounder this spring. I have been fishing Sledd and Little Bear for 2 years and lovin it, but no really biguns yet. And what technique to use. I will sit back and wait for a jerk on the line. I am from Gage in Ballard County and grew up fishing the bottoms lakes but the asian carp have about ruined them.

I doubt you will get an answer on this. Redear fisherman are the tightest lip bunch I know of. The government has considered using them on top secret missions but they wouldn't tell them any info when they got back! Your just gonna have to hunt like the rest of us till you find your spot and then tell NO ONE! You think keeping a crappie hole secret is hard, wait till someone sees you tearin' up the redear. I've known people who set in boats and glass the bays for people that are on good holes. I don't even tell my wife or my dog where I catch redear! Not gonna take the chance.
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!

Yep, I agree with the above post. Those holes are hard to come by. Try this, find some good gill beds and back off about 10 to 20 yards and fish around them.
