Blood River On 18 feb

Went to blood river on friday, weather was pretty crappy. Never been to the river before and took most of the morning to find the fish. When we did it started raining and wind was about 15mph. So we went to the dock for a few hrs and come back for the afternoon bite. We managed 11, 9 good slabs for the few hrs of good fishing.Tough day, but crappie around my neck just dont average that size. Fish still pretty deep.

Nice to be out even if didn't catch as many as you would have liked. I am hoping to hit the water this next weekend.

Hey Jigger, way to go. I also went to Blood for the first time this weekend. I have wanted to try it for a few years but never took the time. I went on Saturday and got there at about 10:30. Fished till almost 3. Kept 14, threw back 3 short fish and missed about 15. I was just not on my game at all. Could not concentrate. I had a blast and can't wait to go back. I am a spider rigger at heart and the low water on Reelfoot has just got me bummed. It was good to be able to fish like I wanted to. water temp was a little over 44 if I remember right.

Hey huffy the water was about 44 45, had a great time fishing new water and learned alot.
