So with speed being the difference, more weight would be added for spider-rigging to keep it vertical at higher speeds. That is the main difference?

Spider rig'n is a slower presentation of multiple baits on multiple rods fished vertically. I usually spider rig at .2 to .7 mph. I usually like to keep my line straight up & down or at a very slight angle.
Long line'n is where you cast out multiple baits on several rods. Usually use 1/16 to 1/32 oz jigs. Most of the time they pull curly tails, hair jigs, or road runners. You usually pull at above .7 mph up to 1.5. Kinda like trolling with crank baits. Your shoot'n for a reaction strike on really active fish.
