    Default Foster Ramp

Took a drive to foster ramp and it has quarter to half inch of ice from the begining of the ramp and all over the gravel lot all the way past the train tracks. I did stop at meldahl to fish didnt catch any or have a hit. I fished all the way to where the rocks meet the sand, lot of gulls and lot of dead shad in the current. I also stopped at snagg creek and the lot and ramp is fairly clear. There was a truck and trailer in the lot and he was duck hunting. As for the creek it is 90% open from the bridge all the way to the river.

I forgot to add that when I was at foster I parked under the tracks and walked down to the ramp and in the water from what I could see it is silted in pretty bad. The neville ramp should be clear I saw a backhoe scrapeing the ramp and running the bucket in the river.

Be nice if the creeks would open up I would venture to say that there are crappie to be caught on "deep" structure.

Hey Ezgo can't wait to fish the river. I have put in several times at the Foster ramp. Did you see any construction going on below dam.

[QUOTE=kygofish;1380562]Hey Ezgo can't wait to fish the river. I have put in several times at the Foster ramp. Did you see any construction going on below dam.[/QUOTE When I was there I didnt see much of the heavy equiptment running around, I did see some fellas that looked like they were drilling for a well or core samples. Supposedly I have heard that the heavy equiptment crews in there have to be done by Mar. and some other crews are moveing in, if this is true a would venture to say that would start phase 2. Next time you go to Meldahl or Foster, stop at the Marrathon on AA highway and the manager in there can let you know what might be going on. I guess some of the workers stop in there for lunch or possibly on there way home.

kygofish here is a graph I look at to see what the water is doing. Where the water is at right now is about summer pool in the tailwaters of meldahl and above meldahl. National Weather Service — Ohio River Forecast Center

    EZGO

Is the water open around the ramp at Neville? May head down tomorrow if it isn't iced in.
