    Default Big bluegill/shellcracker in winter

I've read where several people from states south of us have been catching good bluegill in the winter. Have any of you tried it here in Kentucky and had any luck? If so, what depth and are you tightlining with worms around brush in deep water or do you find them out of points?

I've caught a few gill while crappie fishing and had a couple bite the ends of my plastics off so I'm thinking I might take a bluegill outfit with me next time and give it a try.

They ice fish for them up north in the winter, don't see why you couldn't catch them here. Probably just have to fish deeper.
