i have been reading a lot on ranger boats...been reading a lot of bad reports about bad boats being built and ranger doing nothing about it...they where all problems before and during their bankruptcy...now that there is a new parent company that owns them....is it better or worse or same??? i know they still have the same president and unfortunetly i didn't read anything good about harper....hate to drop 50k plus and get a bunch of headaches.....any input would be great!!!!!

News to me. Have you checked Bass Boat Central? I have friends who are guides and use their Rangers daily and I don't hear any issues about them.

From everything I hear, Ranger still does a good job of standing behind their boats. I think the biggest factor in that is having a dealer with a service department you trust and will go to bat for you if the need arises. I never hear any complaints around here about any troubles with Ranger warranty work, but Jet-A-Marina (Ranger Dealer here) is top notch with an awesome service crew that will be willing to take care of you. I have dealt with dealers before that "drop the ball" on some issues that should be covered under warranty. So I think it really boils down to finding a dealer that will have your back and push for warranty claims for you.
