Has any body been on Barren in the last few days? Hoping for some current info and would appreciate anything you are willing to provide. Thanks.

Be sure and hit all the tree tops you can, close to the channel bluffs. I think you will find crappie will be shallower up in the creeks and in the main lake area and towards the dam, you will start seeing the crappie go a little deeper. Brushpiles are good to if you can find some that are not bare or to shallow. They are pulling the lake pretty hard. If you have very few spots, I would just pick a good channel bluff and troll down it in 12-25ft. of water. Tightline your choice of minnows or jigs. Some fish will be on the treetops, but there will be a lot of little stuff(small stumps, etc), that will hold fish that people will overlook. These spots get little fishing pressure to. Good luck.

Thanks to Sledge and Cntryby for being kind enough to answer and provide some information. Perhaps I can return the favor sometime and if I get to go fishing I will post my results.

I usually slow troll a minnow as a search tool. But it has been the most productive way for me lately,I just decided to stick with it w/ multiple poles!
    Sledge is right, 12-25 ft.
