Sorry about your trip to Ky. Lake. It can be hard to figure out some time. The locals are out there every day and got a pretty good idea about the bite. Don't feel bad.Even we get skunked. 5% percent of the fisherman catch 95% of the fish according to Rory Flynn(KY. Creel surveyor )

Don't feel bad, Ifish KY. Lake a lot and there are days that it seems that no matter what you do nothing works out. I fished KY. Lake 10-28 and caught a limit early that morning, But there are times that i go and fish all day and maybe clean 10 fish. Hang in there and you will hit them right one day and have memories that you will never forget.

Sometimes you just gotta go to see. Been there and done that before...sometimes with good results and sometimes not. Better luck next time.:o

I went twice last Spring and caught 2. I think it gets better in Nov. I got a guide last fall and that's what he said. It is worth it when you get into those 1.5lbers.

Many of the locals not only put time on the water but they're also very good fishermen. When you're out there on a regular basis and sharing info with a few of your buddies who do the same, the good days outweigh the bad.

You might consider hiring a guide for a trip or two in the area you like to fish. This might make a bunch of trips in the future much better. You can learn new techniques and also learn the type areas that seem to hold the most fish.

A needle in a haystack is a lot easier to find if you can narrow it down to a very small area.
