    Talking Ky lake bound

Well it sounds like all though we missed out on a good time at the north Ky shindig we didn't miss out on much fantastic fishing. Hopefully them fishes will be getting real hungry by the time we get there on the 22nd. We will be at Big Bear until the 31st. I am thinking in that time frame they should be so hungry they will just jump in the boat to get to the minners. We will be in a blu/silver Ranger 185vs with a 150hp merc XR6. Give us a wave if you are out on the lake and see us. If anyone is around the area that has one of the side-imaging depth finders I sure would like to see it in action. I have ALMOST got the wife talked into one. Everyone have a good day.

Yeah, and when you find him, ask him where the short, fat, bald headed guy, with the black dog is. :D

Ok let me make sure I got this straight. Im looking for a dog with a pony tail, a tall fat man with curly hair, and a bald black man! :D
I will say one thing I am not having much luck getting ready to head down there. I have been using a hand held GPS the last few years down there and have (HAD) several waypoints saved. Was checking out the GPS yesterday and it quit working. Won't boot up. I've tried new batteries and everything. It won't initialize. I know you can fish without one but it sure helps reduce the going in circles time to find the brush piles. I may just have to stop by Gander Mt in Paducah and grab another cheap hand held until I can get the funds for a new HB side imagining.

    C&S,
What brand GPS is it? If it has not been on awhile it will take a long time to load satellites especially if you shut it down a long ways off from where you are turnig it on. Be sure you have it outside a long ways from any trees or buildings. Had the same trouble before!

It is a Magellan Sportrak Pro. It has worked great for several years. I took it out in the middle of a corn field and tried to get it to inialize. It gets to the screen that says it needs to inialize and say hit enter. When I do it shuts off and comes back on in about 15-30 seconds and goes thru the whole secnerio again and shuts back down. It just keeps doing this same sequence over and over. My biggest bummer is I have lost my waypoints to many brush piles. We only get down there once a year so its not like we know the lake all that well. But I should be able to get in the general vicinity of them. Just have to make a few extra circles to find them. Some days anyone watching me would think I was drunk out there. Two more days and im there!!!!!
