So what does a pro fisherman do when he retires?

    Hi Dvuks,

I guide and carry a portable. I turn it on when I am on the main lake or LBL. I usually run 16 plus scan. It is a handy little Humminbird with weather channels built in. In truth I should have a built in and leave it on all the time in case someone gets in trouble and needs help.

    PS
My guess is a retired pro fishermen plays golf. I hate that game, mainly because I stink at it! The only reason my buddies want me along is so someone will be worse then they are. LOL!!!

Thanks We monitor 16 on L Mich too. I have a hand held also, just don't want to drill anymore holes in the boat. The Coast Guard are pretty close by so the hand held is good enough unless you go out far to the really deep water which I don't. Also we talk to each other on ch 68 and others. So if you run into trouble or someone needs help how far is the Coast Guard?
