Default Fat lipped em on Barren 10/24

Well my retired firefighter buddy and I gave those ole crappie a fat lip today 10/24 down on Barren. We got started a little after 7:00am after we tried to talk a few of the guys from Scott and Murphy into going with us and they thought they should stay and finish repaving the parking lot at the State boat ramp, go figure! From the ramp we headed south to zebco bay and started on the right side and worked our way in, me with minnows and my buddy with jigs. Less than five minutes in and we both had a keeper with many crappie with that dreaded disease, their mouth was just too close to their tail. We hit five more spots before calling it a day and man what a beautiful day it was. We must have caught around fifty and kept a dozen that i'm about to fillet and give to one of the fire stations here in Bowling Green. Could there be a better way to spend a fall day than to cruise the lake with a friend, fish, and enjoy some of God's finest hadywork? Go gett em fellas!
