Bass fished it a few times, maybe 15 to 20yrs ago :D ... caught fish, but nothing spectacular. Only fished along the dam bank & the bank alongside the road to the launch ramp.

I'd say there are more species of fish in that lake, than what the link says there are I "heard" that it also had White Bass, but that was back when I was fishing there. May or may not be true, don't know.

Most times I've passed by it, there's never been more than a couple two or three boats on it (that I could see). But, that was either in April or Oct ... so I really don't know about this time of year.

Not much standing timber, if memory serves me ... so you'll probably have to troll or drift (esp if there's lake lice on it).

fished Wilgren all night night fished ( bass or two ) ...then went to Linville Lake Sunday morning ..got a few crappie out of Linville ( only a few) but, caught bass and catfish there.......I'll go back to Linville .was bout out of gas..
