    Default Barkley 5/14-5/15

Went out fri. with my daughter and did fairly good. We skinned 50 with a few shellcrackers. Caught 2 times that many keeping the better ones. Water was still preatty muddy and falling quick. Took my nephew out Sat. had just a couple of hours we were not keeping fish. Found a bed of redear and gills caught 5 good crackers in about 45 min. Turned them loose hoping to go back this week with some buddies and catch them. Here are some pics of my nephew he had a great time. This week should be really good with the water clearing.

I need to get down there, but it's a good drive from the Louisville area. But the prize crackers are going to eventually lure me down there, they look to big to pass up. I think I could get a two pounder out of either Kentucky Lake or Barkley...I'm sure they're caught every year that size down there.
