    Default Kentucky Lake 5-3-10

Sorry no time for pictures but did manage to get the boat in the water and do a little bluegill fishing today. We ended up cleaning around 70 bluegill, only one redear though. Have no idea where they were. The bulk of our fish were caught with nightcrawlers fished on the bottom in 10-15fow. Hope this helps if anyone is planning on trying them in the high water.

Not wanting your hotspot, but did you catch them over old spawning beds , on points, or in coves? Me and a buddy are planning to go after work today. Any help will be appreciated.

We had three spots where we caught most of them. Two were back in a cove and the other I suspect was an old bed.

Thanks, that's give me a start. I'll post a report later this evening.

Didn't do great, caught a few gills and crappie. My buddy caught 2 crappie, one of which was a really nice slab. He aslo caught a decent channel cat. I hope to get back out there real soon.

Hope you don't want to get out on the lake too soon..

US Coast Guard has closed both lakes at least until Monday night midnight....

I gotta go back to work tonight, keep us up to date if you get to go again this weekend. If I'm remembering right, mepperson aren't you from the Murray area? Wondering how much the lake would have to drop to be able to put a boat in at Wildcat.
