    Default KY Lake Trip

Heading down to Blood River this weekend. Anyone have any thought or opinions on what I should expect. I am guessing they will be out on the big flat around the corner from the mouth. Looks like we have a high and then low front pushing through. I don't know what that means except that I want to be on the water before the low front. If anyone has fished Blood lately let me know your thoughts.

We did decent Sat with 15 crappie, 4 bluegill, a shellcracker, and a catfish. All were caught shallow on jigs. Sunday was tough. We caught a few crappie, some bluegill, and several catfish but the wind was really hard on us. No fish on Saturday had eggs and most were blacks, but we were casting the jigs. I hope this helps you out.

They are calling for potentially severe storms and rain by the buckets for Saturday here, carrying over into Sunday.

    Good luck.

mepp, why aren't you turkey hunting?

Forgot to get the LBL permit, went fishing and just lost interest. I was fired up a few weeks ago, but the fire went out.

Sounds like the high pressure is coming in on Friday. The cold front will push through on Saturday afternoon. I want to be on the water between those fronts. Bad thing is, those storms can get pretty rough but some of the best fishing I have ever had was between two fronts. Of course we had to watch out for the tornados in the mean time. I will watch and make a decision tomorrow.
