    Default Barren 4-15

Went yesterday and caught 15. They bit pretty good EARLY then about 9 they were hard to get. The bite was on about daylight and as the sun got higher they started slowing way down. Could have caught a few more if I had stayed but came on in about 11.

The ones I caught were shallow. They were in about 5' of water and I fished a minnow about 1.5' deep. The 2 biggest ones I caught were in a treetop right off the main channel. Had one 14 and one 13.5.

Also caught about a 2 pound bass [he was a lot of fun on crappie gear], a few yellow perch and several nice gills.

My opinion....Go early and go home. They might bite right at dark too. When the sun gets up they slow way down.

    Good Luck!

What was surface temp btw? Upper half or lower half of lake if you don't mind as well?

Sorry, but I haven't a clue as to what the surface temp was. Don't even have a depth finder on my "crappie boat". I know the lake well enough to know what the depths are and if in doubt I just stick my long pole on till it hits bottom LOL.

I am not very high tech anymore.

I was fishing between Walnut Creek and Brown's Ford.

    Good Luck!
