Default 3 Pound 14 ounce Kentucky Lake Crappie

    Big Kentucky Lake Crappie

When was this 19 inch 3 pound 14 ounce Crappie caught?

Was it caught this year or last year?

If there are crappie this big in KY Lake, I would assume there are a few over 4 pounds.

I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

yeah bill, if the fish got constipated and didn't crap for a day or so...I'd assume it would be over 4 pounds too.

I was saying there are probably other crappie in KY Lake that are 4 pounds. If the lake can produce 3 pound 14 ounce crappie, than it can probably produce a few over 4 pounds.

    Have a good fishing season.

The picture properties says the picture was created online 4/15/2010.Alot of good fish still coming out of the Big Sandy area even though they still have a 30 fish limit.I have fished down there and that is one heck of a crappie area. I once counted 300 boats south of the power line. Most of them long lining. May have to make a little visit!!

I'm pretty sure this was taken a couple of years ago. I met this guy's brother at the dock and he told me & a buddy about his brother catching it. He said his last name was Taylor which was easy to remember since my buddy's last name is Taylor too.

The best I remember he caught it trolling. Said you could hear him holler clear across the lake. I don't blame him, I be yelling too. Seems like I read somewhere where Steve McCadams said he had never caught a 3 lber. in all the years he's fished. Tells you just how rare one is even though you can find a fewfishermen who think they lost one that size.
