    Ronbo,
It will pull them off the banks a little farther and scatter them back out over the drops a little. My biggest concern though is the spawn. Fish that are spawning shallow will abandon their nesting sites an abort there spawn. This really hurts the spawn more than anything else. I wish TVA and The Corp would be just a little bit concerned about fishing habitat and the futher of fishing in general. Maybe we can elect some politicos that care about the fish populations and what they mean to the local economies around these beautiful lakes we have. After all they do belong to all of us !! We the people....................

I don't think they'll go all the way down to 354' but I would't be suprized if they taker' down to 355' and change if we don't get a big rain.

They'll mess around and kill off another year class. I knew it was come'n.

It seem like this has happened the past 3-4 years in a row!, its up and down, up and down,, , dont these idiots realize the economic impac crappie fishing has to ky lake??? I would suggest these idiots drive over jonathan creek bridge and see just how many boats are out there,,, without a good spawn this year I am afraid Ky lake will just become another puddle of water and not the premier crappie lake it used to be 20yrs ago!!

    It ain't about fishing.

Never was, never will be. Call them and they will tell you.

The economic impact of controlling the flood plains is one heck of a lot larger than what the spring crappie run brings in.

Fishing is just a great byproduct of flood control and power generation.

    Talking I got the solution

What we need to do is find some "Tree Hugger" in California to come in here and find some micro-organism in the lakes that's being adversely affected by the fluctuating water levels this time of year. Thennnnn they'll pay attention! :D

whiskers,, I think I saw a spotted owl the other day!!!! didnt you????
if flood control is the true reason, can someone explain why they start the drawdown in early JULY? and by october they are close to winter pool,, its obvious they can raise of lower the lake a couple of feet in a day if they want,,

It is about the entire river system, not just KY Lake.
