caught crappie in 23-30 fow with black light , fished there all night caught about 8 buddy caught 13.....night fishing looks like the way to go.......atleast for me .

Did you get any of any size ?? Did you get a school of shad to come around your blacklight, or just Silversides (or was there "anything" schooling under the light) ?? Were you using minnows ?? How deep were the fish holding ??Quote:

yeah they was a bunch of little shad looking fish ( small enough - I could have netted' them ) around my lights on the front of my boat, when I had them on( battery consumption).... I had a submergeable light along with the lil black light I purchased from Sportsman to see my line......just set up over a few spots of cover that I know and in about 40 minutes here we go....my df was showing them way down there 39-55 -22- 12-17-17-9.4.....I just tried to split the difference ( after getting hung up alot ) then I caught some pretty good size ones ...all werent slabs or monsters but -they was crappie!!! going to have to do it again ....yeah I used minnows with limited lighting i hooked the ones that was really wiggling....lil action as an attractant
