    Default Proud Navy Dad

My son (on the left), one of his buddies from the Navy (middle), and another friend came in for the Easter weekend and we went and done a little fishin this afternoon for a few hours. We managed 18 using Baby shad Bluegrass Bobby Garland jigs in 8 ft of water. Wasn't many up in the shallows for us. Maybe because they are drawing the lake down.

Congrats on your catch and tell your son I said Thank You for his service. I don't have a ton of regrets in my life but not going into the military for at least one hitch is one of them.

Judging from the smiles you all had a good day. My brother has 3 more years in the Navy then he can retire. Thanks to your son and his friend.

Congrats on a fine catch and what looks like a great day on the water! I served 6 years in the Navy (84-90) and was station at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Va. Very much appreciate the service of these young men!!

You should be proud Sixfin. Anytime you can spend time with family, especially young adults, and produce a smile like that you know your doing something right. It looks like they enjoyed the break. Tell them to come back when the work begins next fall!! Ha!! Ha!!

    Talking Congrats on your catch

I got a son in the Army so I know how proud you are. Looks like you had 3 find young men with ya. Good mess. That ought to bout feed that bunch.

Sneak out there in about 15' to 16' in the bays and fish it about 8' to 11' deep, while this water is fall'n and see what happens. I think you'll be pleasently suprised.
