    Smile Kentucky Lake

Fished Ky Lake Thursday and Friday. The water temp was about 48 degrees in the morning and up to 54 degrees in the afternoon. The fish were all caught on jigs. Some of the better colors were white, pink and chartreuse. Was able to catch a limit Thursday and Friday we ended up with 26 keepers. The weather was really nice these past couple of days.

    Congrats on the catch.

I went to Jonathan Creek yesterday and have decided that you IL guys have taken over the lake. :D

I'm going back to my hidey hole where I was actually catching keeper fish (and not having to dodge freeway-like traffic). I had about 30 yesterday afternoon but only 4 keepers.

    Nice fish,

I like to fish in the Tennessee portion of KY Lake, there are not nearly as many people fishing there.

If you go north of Highway 68 this time of year the coves are full of boats.

So I always go south of highway 68.

Good Luck on the rest of the fishing season.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

Nice catch! looks like you caught a lot more blacks than whites. Curious as to what depth you were finding them in.

    Great catch. What depth?

The depth we were catching the fish was from 5-12 ft of water. We caught a lot of white crappie but they were mostly 9" fish. The blacks seem to be around brush in the 8-10 ft range.
