Went to Taylorsville today to really just run the boat and see what is not working correctly. Have another trolling motor battery dwon like I do every year but all else worked perfectly. Couldn't believe how easy the motor started and how well everything worked. I was on the water with maybe ten other boats and all appreared to be doing the exact same thing I was doing. Two broke down and I had to toll one to the marina. One ran out of gas or he had engine problems and one poor guy had a dead truck battery so I had to jump start him. I could have made $50 an hour helping people today instead of trying to fish some. I did catch a few..... stumps that is. Actally I hooked into three nice size stumps that took all three of my jigs, but it felt good hooking something since I never had one fish hit the line. Actually, in four hours I marked less then 20 fish. Water was 47 degrees and all the structure I needed to fish was out of the water since the lake is at winter pool still. So, if your planning on going to T-Ville you have a pretty good chance at getting your limit on stumps with no crappie in site but it still beat sitting in the office.
