Tips and Suggestions Ky Lake sat and sun

First weekend i have had totally off since the crappie bite has somewhat been around this season. Been to jonathan and big bear twice on a few afternoon make sure my boat and electronics is running right trips but got some humble pie.

So I'm planning on being out both days and wondered just what you guys thought about when and where on northern Ky lake?

They have been slaying them at Big Sandy. I know thats not the Northern part but thats were the fish are biting best right now.

I'm gonna spider rig in the outer 1/3 of the bays on the flats in about 13 to 14 foot of water. Jigs tipped with small minners. If that don't work I'm gonna vertical jig the brush in that same water. If the lake stays steady & the water warms alittle they'll be there.

we are heading down to ky lake later this afternoon,, mostly to open up the cabin after a long winter, but I d like to do put in the boat and drop a line for an hour or two,,
WHISKERS: we are one cove north of shawnee bay resort & cozy cove,, I really havent been able to locate a lot of crappie beds in our area, this time of year where would you fish?

I did like I said I'd do. First full day home & I went after them. Wound up with a baker's dozen. 11 fat whites, 2 big blacks & 1 BIG bluegill. I was spider rig'n in about 12 foot of water on the flats. Fish were about 10' deep.

I am gonna have my camper at Big Bear this year. I've got some good stuff marked in there and am gonna put out some more stuff.

You should be able to find some fish on brush in around 14'. I didn't try it but I bet they're there.
