    Default Wooden Jon Boat

I was watching kentucky afield a few months ago and they built a wooden flat bottom jon boat.
Has anyone every tried building their own jon boat from wood & if so did the show make it look easier than it really is.

While growing up in Eastern Kentucky/Southern W.Va. we used those wood boats on the Tug Fork River. Great boats for there time. There was a lumber company in Williamson Wv. and another in Logan Wv. who sold pre cut kits for those boats. I don't know if they still do or not but you might do a search and find them. BTW, there is no fish, I repeat NO FISH in the Tug Fork, No Smallies, No Crappies, No Sauger. Just a dead river .lol
