Be aware that Blood River requires a Kentucky license even though it is between the bridges.
Crappie Wall Hanger II
The blood river area of KY Lake is great for crappie and bass. I personally like to fish in the Tennessee portion of KY Lake, from highway 79 down to Interstate 40.
Blood river and cypress creek coves are good for crappie in the early season, but I like to fish some of the shallow coves in the TN portion of the lake in early April, sometimes the water warms up faster in the shallow coves, and the crappie will be bitting earlier than the crappie in the KY portion of the lake.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.
