    Default Herrington or Green River?

Does anyone know the lake conditions for Herrington or Green River? I'm trying to find open water, most of the lakes in Ohio are frozen. Both lakes are within 3hr drive, I was planning a trip this weekend or next. I've heard both can be good. Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. I'm not keeping any fish, private message me if you don't want to share info publicly.

    Exclamation Hey Starvin ...

Some of this info might be helpful :

Green River Lake - Daily lake info : 270-465-8824 (lake level & surface temp)

Herington Lake - Daily lake info : 859-748-4685 (current lake level only)

Louisville District Daily Lake Report (see Green River lake levels) click on current lake level number (highlighted in blue) to get a chart showing precip - elevation - outflow rate, for the past year up to the current date.

While most of the upcoming snow & bad weather conditions are going to be affecting the eastern part of the state, more than the central or western areas ... check the weather conditions for these cities, just to be on the safe side :

    Danville, Ky (Herrington Lake)
    Campbellsville, Ky (Green River Lake)

Locally (Lexington) ... the daytime high temps are supposed to be in the upper teens for this coming weekend (FYI)

Thanks for the update, today may be the last day we get to fish East Fork. Here are a few pictures from the lake today.
