Green River 12/22

Caught fish 15-25 fow. Water temps ranged from 39-44 and was murky to muddy depending on where you were. Fish caught on minnows and red/white tube jig.

Rest assured that I WILL be comin down to GRL, next year !! It's been too long since I've fished that lake. If I don't have my own boat, or can't get either of my fishing buds to bring me ... I may just pack the truck, head on down, and stand around at the launch ramp until someone takes pity on me (which ramp do you use, by the way :D )

I'll keep you in mind !! March sounds like a good time to start. Do you fish the river (Holmes Bend) area around that time ... or up around Robinson Creek area ? When I used to go down there, it was always around the third week of April ... State Park area - around the island - and some of the creeks off of Robinson Creek. Tube jigs & Roadrunners were always reliable, once they were close to the bank .. but, minnows were also used, especially if the fish were still staging or pre-spawn.

crappiepappy I fish all over the lake I am going in for surgery on the 4th of Jan. will be down for a couple of months but the end of march or sometime in April would suite me fine when you get ready you can call me. I would love to go with you so you can show me a few things about fishing for crappie. ed
