Here are a few of the ones I have been catching in the last 2 weeks.Less than 9' of water, some in 5-6' of water.Water temp 55*f and high due to all the rain.Jigs, roadrunners and minnows.Catepillar sliders seem to work best.

Thats just wrong Jack. For one, it looks warm there. Secondly, I havent seen slabs like that since spring. Thirdly, I love catchin em on sliders and havent been able to buy a bite on artificials since late spring. I wish we would have beat yall by 50 yesterday.:p

Jack, those look like they came from a lake w/ some grass in it. You didnt catch those in Harris did ya. I have been to Raleigh area and fished Falls lake, but never made it to Jordan or Harris. I have heard all those lakes have some really nice crappie in them. Those park lakes in Raliegh have some hawgs in em too from what Ive seen. As big as those fish are you are puttin in your friends pond, Id hate to see em' after they fatten up for a couple years!

EKy,no they come from a lake hear on the coast.I live about 25 minutes from Wilmington in a little town called Burgaw.3 stoplight town.Yes,I have fished Falls,Harris and Jordan.Jordan is the best I would say.Harris has lots of fish, but not quite as big.If you ever come back down this way, shoot me a message.I'll see if i can put you on some fish.I have been going to New Bern and fishing the Neuse River.Tidal River brackish water.Caught crappie, bream, white perch, pinfish and a red fish(puppy drum in these parts)in the same hole.Great duck hunting there too,I just don't do any of it.
